The growing city of Beachwood in the state of Ohio is an exciting place to visit and a wonderful place to live. There are numerous events that take place in the city and so many things to do and see with family, friends or on your own. The city offers great entertainment, delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere that encourages visitors to return and experience more of what the hidden jewel of Ohio has to offer.
Here are a few things to do when visiting or residing in Beachwood:
Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage – Displays and videos are interspersed with quizzes to bring different ideas to the forefront. It chronicles the immigration of Jews to Cleveland from the early days of our country to the present. It is a story of discrimination not only of the Jewish people but of African Americans and others. A great learning experience for all.
David Berger National Memorial – Beautiful piece of art to memorialize the victims of the attack on the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. This is an affiliated site, there are no interpretive displays, no NPS map, or rangers. There is at a community center where you can ask the reception desk for tour directions.
Beachwood Place – for those who loves shopping, this is the place for you. Very eclectic with familiar stores, and a few unique ones as well. The mall features a few high-end stores and nice places to eat.
Preston’s H.O.P.E– playgrounds, fun, games, and natural parks are what this place has in store. The Inspiration for Preston’s H.O.P.E. came from very special friends and family of a little boy born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). The atmosphere is filled with fun and kids enjoy the equipment that the playground offers.
