Sunshine Retirement Living offers its services and amenities to seniors on a temporary basis. Most commonly, short-term care is used for the following reasons:
Respite / Hospital Discharge – A short stay for seniors who have been discharged from the hospital or other medical facility and are not physically prepared to return home.
Vacation Stay / Trial Stay – Before transitioning into assisted living or a nursing home, seniors have a chance to meet staff and other residents, and also experience activities and the dining program, before making a decision to move into a community. The intent of the program is to lessen the fear or anxiety usually associated with moving and a change in residence.
Day Stay Program – When senior caregivers need to go to work, seniors are able to enjoy day care and senior activities, such as outings, meals and socialization. Caregivers are afforded the peace of mind that their loved ones are receiving supervision, socialization, wellness and nutrition.
