EVANS, GA (SEPTEMBER 27th, 2019) – Sunshine Retirement Living welcomes Tanya Meehan as the new Executive Director of its Marshall Pines Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Evans, GA Marshall Pines is a luxury Assisted Living and Memory Care community that focuses on customized, Person-centered care. The community implements a unique Memory Care Life Enrichment program that focuses on six pillars of wellness, including physical, social, emotional, cognitive, sensory, and spiritual nurturing, with the goal of fostering independence over-dependence. Sunshine has chosen Meehan as Marshall Pines’ new Executive Director to maintain the highest quality standard of care in the community.
Meehan began her career at Merritt Properties, where she worked at three of the company’s communities. At Dogwood Creek Assisted Living, she served as the Assistant Administrator and Marketing Director. She oversaw the community and payroll in the absence of the Administrator and maintained a 100% census with a waitlist. She also served as the Interim Administrator at Merritt Properties’ Forest Glade Assisted Living, where she retrained the entire staff to comply with state regulations and company policy, as well as a returned facility to zero deficiency with regrowth in the census. She also served as the Administrator at Sand Plum Assisted Living, where she oversaw staff training, community outreach, payroll, and budgeting, and maintained 100% census and a zero-deficiency community.
After working for Merritt Properties for 12 years, Meehan became the Executive Director of Brookdale Senior Living. She successfully oversaw budgeting, community outreach, and staff management and training, as well as ensuring the community’s compliance with state regulations and company policy. Meehan was also a member of the District Mentor and Compliance Group.
Meehan is a Licensed Oklahoma Assisted Living/Residential Care Administrator and has experience with public relations and tours for senior living communities. She also has extensive experience with the administrative needs of a senior living community, including payroll, human resources, vendor communications, staff management and training, and budget planning and implementation.
