At our Assisted Living Communities, our nursing team and trained caregivers offer a high level of “individualized” care service, that includes managing your medication to assisting with your daily activities to help maintain independence.

Sunshine is the innovator in cutting-edge programs because we know that social, cognitive and emotional health are just as important as physical health.

Memory Care

Sunshine’s Memory Care Communities are designed with innovative programs that focus on your loved one’s physical care as well as their social, emotional, and cognitive needs. Our programs and specialized care are designed to ease the symptom of Alzheimer’s and Dementia and celebrate their life. Our innovative approach to the challenges experienced by our memory care residents and their families include: memory theme boxes and accent walls, colored plates for food recognition and appetite stimulation, life skills stations that replicate residents’ previous life work and hobbies, era-specific music and clothing, a secured courtyard and walking paths, purpose driven closets, aroma and music therapy, life safety systems and much more.

Respite Care

Temporary care is available to provide relief and assistance for regular caregivers, or in transitional situations. Caregivers are afforded the peace of mind that their loved ones are receiving supervision, socialization, wellness, and nutrition. Most commonly, short-term care is used for the following reasons:

Respite/Hospital Discharge: A short stay for seniors who have been discharged from a hospital or other medical facility but are not physically prepared to return home.

Vacation/Trial Stay: Before transitioning into a community, seniors have a chance to meet staff and other residents; they can experience activities and the dining program before making a decision to move into a community. The intent of the program is to lessen the fear or anxiety usually associated with moving and a change in residence.

Day Stay Program: When senior caregivers need to go to work, seniors
are able to enjoy day care and senior activities, such as outings, meals, and socialization.
