Here are a few fun attractions for kids to enjoy:

Louisiana Children’s Museum – every kid loves museums and this one is a lot to love. It is 30,000 sq. ft. of interactive exhibits that include an art studio, climbing wall, and a mock café. The two-story museum is the equivalent of an indoor play area that stimulates the minds and creative imagination of children.

• Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium – It’s a beautiful attraction. You can spend hours here and never get bored. It’s extremely family oriented and is fun for people of all ages. You can even eat bugs and enjoy the theater. The interactive insect exhibits and bugs in action bring this place to life.

• Audubon Aquarium of Americas – hand-feed a few bird and chill with the penguins inside this aquarium that offers a wide variety of things to see and touch. Features marine exhibits and a 400,000-gallon tank with sharks, coral reefs, rays and a walk- through tunnel.

Audubon Zoo – this recreation space features an exotic array of animals, a dinosaur attraction and a carousel. Must visit the reptile house when here. It’s a great place to take the kids to wind them down or tire them out for the day. There is lots to see and a lot of walking, and unlike other zoos, this one has great tasting food.
