Stories Shared by Sunshine

After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world. Philip Pullman

sunshine-stories-imgA life well-lived is all about good food and good friends and Sunshine’s Stories section has plenty of both! So whether you’re looking for a new idea for a sweet treat (our recipe for Strawberry Chia Seed Pudding is to die for!), or just interested in learning more about our residents and staff across the country, check back in to our Stories page often. There’s always something new to learn about and share with your friends!

These Eyes Have Seen

These Eyes Have Seen is a special storytelling project created to honor our Sunshine residents. Over the years, we have been so moved by the touching, fascinating life stories of our many residents, that we decided to create an ongoing series spotlighting these captivating histories to share with the world. Each month, Sunshine Retirement Living will post life stories, and a new group of residents will take center stage. Browse our current storytelling archive and enjoy our many poignant stories.

Sunshine Stories

Each new day is a chance to meet someone new, tell a story, share a laugh and make a connection. Our Sunshine Stories blog are quick chats with a Sunshine resident or staff member on friendship, love, marriage and more that we hope will inspire everyone in the Sunshine family to share their own remembrances, and make lasting connections with each other.

  • Compelling interviews about favorite remembrances, savvy advice, unique insights and a few bucket list ideas
  • Celebratory milestones that bring family and friends together — birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and volunteer achievements
  • Holiday gatherings and all the quirky traditions, the beautiful decorations, and the delicious foods that come together to make the fondest memories
  • Q&A with guest speakers broaden your understanding of the world around us, and how it is changing day by day
