Embrace Your Creative Side with Art
Austin is a creative city that has a focus on all kinds of art! Whether you’re taking a stroll in the city checking out the murals and street art or want to stay inside and browse a new exhibit, there’s so much to see and absorb in the art community of Austin. Have you ever been to an immersive art exhibit? They’re a little bit more visually intense than your average gallery and so much fun to explore! If you’re ready to expand your artistic horizons, we suggest these two exhibits:
Wonderspaces, Austin: This all-year round exhibit features unique art installations that rotate throughout the year, making it an ideal spot to become a regular. The installations are always changing, and tickets are just $20 for seniors!
Museum of Ice Cream: Brighten things up and rediscover your inner child with this fun and funky art museum! Walk through the bright displays as you learn about the history of ice cream while enjoying some of your own as well! Tickets vary from $29 on the weekdays to $32 on the weekends.
Check out the Austin Public Library
One may not normally think to visit the public library during the summer months, let alone see it on a list of attractions. But the Austin Public Library is in a league of its own! This library is in a beautiful building featuring a cafe, rooftop garden, and six floors filled with activities. Aside from exploring the building in itself, the library also holds a handful of events for kids, teens, adults, and seniors, making it a great location to bring the whole family or just to visit on your own time! Grab yourself a book (or two) to bring back to the community to read out on our beautiful grounds!
Fill Your Calendar with Community Activities

Fall foliage is in full force! Leaf peeping is an informal term in the United States for the activity in which people travel to view and photograph the fall foliage in areas where leaves change colors in autumn.
