Mrs. Catherine Hock is an 86 year old Hurricane Rita survivor who refused to leave her home and rode out the storm while staying in her house. Her neighborhood was destroyed but she stayed and repaired her home and continued to do what she loves most, make quilts.
After a few years she was ready to move into the Landing at Behrman Place, and has been a wonderful addition to the family. Catherine is known to always have a smile on her face and loves dancing when bands come to play.
One day Assistant Manager David Pinckard was taking a potential new resident on a tour and ran into Catherine who immediately asked, "When are you moving in?" The lady said “I am just thinking about it right now." Catherine said "Stop thinking about it, move in and start living. I did." The lady, Mrs. Mary Gracin moved in one week later.
