Luckily for our active senior residents, Dunwoody Pines Retirement Community is convenient to amazing opportunities to help you enjoy all that spring has to offer! Just minutes from Atlanta, our luxury retirement community is near amazing restaurants, entertainment, and shopping. Additionally, Dunwoody is close to some fantastic outdoor opportunities that we think our residents should check out this season. If you are new to the Dunwoody area, here are a few of our favorite activities for the spring!

Dunwoody Nature Center

The Dunwoody Nature Center is one of our favorite recommendations when it comes to activities in the area for spring. With walking trails, a picnic area, volunteer opportunities, and community education classes, this amazing park offers a plethora of activities perfect for spring. In addition to an amazing array of programs designed for adults, there are also wonderful opportunities for kids at this immersive experience. With the incredible conservation efforts, and the undeniably beautiful views it will have this spring, this is one of our favorite stops in the area. Brook Run Park

Another great outdoor opportunity is Brook Run Park. Located less than 10 minutes from our community, this incredible outdoor space offers 110 acres of beautiful exploration opportunities. The park is home to a two mile multi-use trail, skate park, dog park, a community garden, and event pavilions. With so much to do it will be no shock to hear that Brook Run Park is not only the largest park in Dunwoody, but also in the region! We highly recommend grabbing a friend, and enjoying the walking trail, having lunch at one of the picnic areas, or just enjoying the beautiful Georgia spring weather and taking part in some nature observation and people-watching. Perimeter Mall

For those who are more interested in shopping than spending time in nature, the perfect place to shop this spring is at Perimeter Mall. With over 150 establishments, this mall is sure to satisfy any shopping lover’s wants and needs! It is also a great way to get some unexpected movement in as the mall is 1,564,046 sq ft. This means that you and your loved ones will be sure to get their steps in while shopping!

Stage Door Theatre

A local nonprofit theater that hosts incredible performances, this is a must stop in the Dunwoody area for those of you who love the arts. As the Stage Door Theater enters its 49th season, you can look forward to three different performances!
