Visit a local Farmers Market
Lucky for us, The Gardens at Brook Ridge is conveniently located near McAllen, Texas and it has its perks, like the McAllen Farmers Market! Every Sunday from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, swing by to get some fresh, local vegetables, and take a walk around to see what all the vendors have to offer. Visiting your local farmers market is a great way to find new small businesses to support as well as gain a sense of community as you walk from booth to booth, conversing with all the local vendors. You may even find a new favorite ingredient or snack to enjoy!

That being, our mental activity calendar includes classes like baking, music parties, brain teasers, social events, and movie nights. There’s something for everyone on the schedule at our community!
Baking is a great way to connect with your loved one, and it is also a great mentally stimulating activity for them to partake in (you’ll also see it on our weekly calendar mentioned above). If you plan on having family time with your loved one, make it a baking night!
