Liberty Bridge is one of those things that you just have to see to believe. Greenville, South Carolina boasts tremendous waterfalls throughout the city, but perhaps the most mesmerizing of them all is the Whitewater Falls chain. Lower Whitewater falls is over 200 feet long as it plunges into the Jocassee Gorges area. And lucky for Maple Brook residents, it is only about a 2.5-mile walk from the Bad Creek Visitor Center. This is only one of the many breathtaking waterfalls in Greenville, South Carolina, and all are a must-see in our book.
Table Rock State Park
Table Rock got its name from a unique story. Here is the shortened version: the Native American Cherokee tribes that used to inhabit the land surrounding the mountain called the land Sah-ka-na-ga, which translates to “Great Blue Hills of God.” Table Rock has an iconic flat, open face on the rock that overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the Cherokee believed that when God would feast, he used this massive rock as his table. Hence the name “Table Rock.” Today, visitors can take in the beauty of this land with hiking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and more.
