Antioch, CA

Visit the Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve. Located just minutes from Quail Lodge, our independent retirement community in Antioch, CA this incredible park is perfect for hiking, picnicking, and observing nature. You can go online to plan your trip and find more information about Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve.

Chula Vista, CA

Explore the Living Coast Discovery Center. Just minutes from Canterbury Court Senior Apartments, this non-profit zoo and aquarium strives to encourage the community to connect with and care for the coastal environment. To learn more about the Discovery center, plan a visit through their website.

Folsom, CA

Check out downtown Folsom and when you’re done, drive by Folsom State Prison. It may sound strange to visit a prison, but this iconic location is mentioned in country music legend Johnny Cash’s song Folsom Prison Blues and is a must-see when in the area. Still a functioning correctional facility, you cannot tour the inside, but still seeing the location where Johnny Cash performed, and the location of several feature films, is a great adventure for a cool day.

Fountain Valley, CA

Another adventurous opportunity lies near our Park View Estates Transitional Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. The Reptile Zoo, located just 10 minutes from our community, is home to reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids from around the world. Guests can learn all about these animals through demonstrations with skilled professionals and other activities and exhibits. Plan your trip today!

La Mesa, CA

On a warmer day, there is nothing better than visiting Lake Murray reservoir located within Mission Trails Regional Park. This beautiful outdoor location is open for fishing and private boats most days. It is a great way to get outside and enjoy the beautiful La Mesa area this season.

La Quinta, CA

Spend some time learning about the area at the La Quinta Museum. Explore the history of the area, as well as ever changing exhibits. No matter if you’ve visited before, there is sure to be something new to learn, see, and experience. This is the perfect activity for a cool day, or if you are just looking for a fun local activity. Located minutes from our Caleo Bay Memory Care & Transitional Assisted Living Community, this a great stop when visiting a loved one or an ideal activity to spend some time together while in town!

Novato, CA

Take a trip to old town Novato. With lots of unique restaurants, bars, shops, and more there is something for everyone in this cute downtown area. Close to our Deer Park Retirement Community, this a fun way to spend an afternoon out with friends or family. Grab ice cream, go to a wine tasting, or simply sit down for a delicious meal. Whatever you are looking for, this is the spot for you!
