Caramel Apple Dump Cake

Dump Cake refers to cake recipes in which you can essentially dump all the ingredients in a pan and bake, and this one is no different! Extremely simple to whip up but also extremely delicious, this caramel apple dump cake recipe from The Novice Chef will bring you all the fall flavors you love. Here’s what you’ll need to make it:

  • Apple pie filling
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Butter
  • Caramel squares
  • Yellow cake mix

To put this cake together, first you’ll preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and prepare a rectangular glass baking dish. Next, in a large bowl mix the apple pie filling with the cinnamon. Add this mixture to the greased baking dish. Then, top the apples with unwrapped caramel squares, making an even layer. Next, you will pour the dry cake mix over the caramels, using a spatula as needed to spread it evenly. Finally, melt the butter and pour it over the cake mix. Bake in the oven until golden brown and enjoy your easy and heartwarming dessert!

Pumpkin Cheesecake Whoopie Pies

What’s better than one cookie? That’s right: two cookies! The invention of whoopie pies is a sneaky way to eat two cookies at once, with tasty frosting between them. This recipe for pumpkin cheesecake whoopie pies from Together As A Family is rich and smooth, and it is sure to hit your craving for pumpkin this season! For this one, you’ll need:

  • Spice cake mix
  • Pumpkin puree
  • Cooking oil
  • Cheesecake instant pudding mix
  • Heavy whipping cream

To get started, you’ll preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then, using a mixer or whisk, mix the spice cake mix, pumpkin puree, and oil until mostly smooth. Next form cookie dough balls onto your baking sheet. While cookies are baking, use a mixer to combine your instant pudding mix and heavy cream until stiff peaks form. When the cookies are cooled, pipe the filling and assemble your whoopie pies!
